She Came to Ordu and Finally Breathed Comfortably
Because of her allergic asthma, 44-year-old Georgian national Marina Abuladze applied to MPGCARE Health Tourism Company and was referred to Medical Park Ordu Hospital.
Unable to achieve the desired recovery due to persistent allergy complaints, the patient was taken into treatment by Prof. Dr. Ali Kutlu, Immunology and Allergy Diseases Specialist.
Doctors in Georgia advised Marina Abuladze, who suffers from asthma, to continue her treatment in Turkey due to severe allergic reactions. At Medical Park Ordu Hospital, Prof. Dr. Ali Kutlu began her treatment.
Suffering from widespread muscle and joint pain, nighttime shortness of breath, coughing fits, and occasional chest pain, Marina Abuladze did not improve despite treatments in her country. After applying to MPGCARE, she was referred to Medical Park Ordu Hospital. At the Immunology and Allergy Department, EMG revealed multiple nerve involvement. With further evaluations, she was diagnosed with the rare Churg-Strauss syndrome, which causes recurrent pneumonia.
Prof. Dr. Ali Kutlu stated: “Early diagnosis is very important in allergic diseases. Applying to the right center ensures timely diagnosis. A delay in diagnosis and disease progression can cause multiple organ involvement and even death, particularly due to lung complications.”
He added: “Marina’s condition is now under control. She can sleep more comfortably at night, and her shortness of breath has decreased. She still has a long treatment process ahead. Batumi is a very humid region with many old houses, so allergic diseases are common. Many respiratory and allergy patients prefer our hospital for continued treatment. The lack of broad health insurance and clinic-based medical practice in Georgia make Turkey an attractive option. With our facilities and strong team, we provide the highest level of health services, and we see high patient satisfaction after accurate diagnosis and treatment.”
